THE BLOG

This blog is an adjunct to the Women’s Discipleship Group of Covenant  Baptist Church in Toronto, Ontario.  The Group will be meeting monthly or bi-monthly for instruction and discussion about the life and roles of the Christian woman, as outlined in Titus 2.  A summary of each session will be posted here to allow for further reflection and discussion, in addition to providing an opportunity for those who are unable to attend the meetings to catch up on what they have missed.  An outline of the topics of study can be found on the “Study Outline” page.

May we all be encouraged and challenged to conform to the image of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to strive to be godly women as we serve Him in our daily lives.

My name is Valerie Powell and I am the wife of a wonderful husband and pastor.  I am blessed with three young children who bring me great joy, and who highlight my need for Jesus Christ on a daily basis!  It is a privilege to be at home with my kids these days, and I hope and pray that I will be able to continue to be at home with them for many years to come.
